Fat, The Major Enemy Of The Diabetic

Well, apparently it’s true. Experiments were conducted to prove it. According to this article, diabetic worst enemy is fat. When diabetic consume fat, it exacerbate the development of diabetes. It also hinders how the cells uses glucose, raising the diabetic blood sugar level.

Literature from medical sources cited an experiment conducted to find the effects of fat diets on intolerance of insulin. Diets with high fat that contains butter, cream, and egg yolks were fed to medical students who were young and healthy. Two days later, the high-fat diet raises their blood sugar levels to classify them as diabetic.

The experiment was stopped. The effect of changing their diet with complex carbohydrates normalized their blood sugar levels.

Insulin is not properly utilized when the food consumed contains fat because more insulin is needed for the glucose to be processed. The cells in the body resist insulin in the presence of fat. The pancreas, therefore, have to make more insulin to make up for the insulin deficiency needed by the body. The presence of fat in and around normal tissue hinders the absorption of insulin into these tissues.

Food such as meat, fish, dairy products, fowl, salad and cooking oils are the foremost sources of fat in the American diet.

Consuming high-fat diets among raw vegetarians are detrimental to their health. Their blood sugar levels become high. Consuming low-fat in raw diet such as fruit normalizes their blood sugar levels. Note! Source of this article: Roger Haeske

Alternative to Diabetes Treatment For Men

I want to share an article I’ve read from Life Extension Foundation Magazine written by Sale Kiefer.

The article is about other ways of treating men suffering from diabetes. Dr. Lichten approached the diabetes treatment not with insulin and medication, which are the traditional way of treating diabetes. Dr. Lichten proposed that treating diabetes by balancing the hormone of a man is a better way.

The testosterone levels of men decline as they grow older. Women have menopause while men have andropause. As men grow older, they experienced erectile dysfunction, diabetes and wasting of muscles due to declining testosterone levels.

According to the article, Dr. Lichten found in his clinical practice that men who are diabetic benefited from his testosterone therapy. He found that replacement of declining testosterone levels of men suffering from diabetes, increased their energy levels, helped in healing their wounds, and control the proper range of their blood sugar levels.

His testosterone therapy showed to be more beneficial than the medications for diabetics. In spite of the benefits derived from this therapy, the medical community are slow in implementing it.
